Team Great Britain & Ireland defeated Team USA for just the fifth time in tournament history at the 1999 Walker Cup. After the GB&I victory, the overall standings were 31 wins for Team USA, five for Team GB&I, and one tie.

Notes: Team USA held a 7-5 lead following the end of Day 1, the Walker Cup was tied at 8-8 after Day 2's foursomes session. But Team GB&I dominated the final singles session, winning seven out of eight matches. GB&I won Day 2 by a 10-2 score.

Paul Casey and Luke Donald were the leaders for GB&I. They partnered one another to two foursomes wins, and each won two singles matches. Casey and Donald both finished with perfect 4-0-0 records.
