Brothers Who Won on the Champions Tour
How many pairs of brothers are there who both have won the Champions Tour? So far, only three pairs of brothers have achieved that feat.
The Champions Tour (formally named PGA Tour Champions) is the U.S.-based senior circuit for golfers ages 50-and-over. It was founded in 1980, so quite a few years of history has now built up.
And in that history, the Champions Tour has seen three pairs of brothers in which both brothers won tournaments: the Hills, Wadkinses and Bryants.
- The Hills: Dave and Mike — Dave Hill won six times on the Champions Tour and Mike Hill won 18 times. That's a reversal of their PGA Tour success, where Dave won 13 times and Mike three times. Their combined 24 Champions Tour victories is far and away the record for any pair of brothers. Dave first won on the Champions Tour in 1987 and last in 1989; Mike first won in 1990 and last in 1996.
- The Wadkinses: Bobby and Lanny — On the senior tour, Bobby Wadkins won four times and Lanny Wadkins won once. Lanny was one of the best PGA Tour players during his pre-senior career, winning 23 times including one major. Bobby never won on the PGA Tour. But on the Champions Tour, Bobby's four wins included the 2006 Senior Players Championship. Lanny's senior tour career was brief as he concentrated more on broadcasting.
- The Bryants: Brad and Bart — Brad Bryant had four Champions Tour victories, including the 2007 U.S. Senior Open. Bart Bryant won twice on the senior circuit, putting the Bryants second to the Hills in combined senior wins by brothers. Brad and Bart each also had wins on the PGA Tour, Bart three and Brad one.
