Golf Compendium

The 2014 U.S. Women's Open was the 69th time this golf tournament was played. And this one is remembered as the site of Michelle Wie's first win in a major championship. She was the only golfer to finish under par, and won by two strokes.

Michelle Wie burst onto the national golf scene when she was only 12 years old. We've watched her grow up in golf, and over the years she's given a lot of quotes. And other golfers have been asked for a lot of quotes about her. We've collected plenty of those Michelle Wie quotes here.

Michelle Wie burst onto the international golf scene before she was even a teenager: Her first LPGA Tour appearances happened when she was only 12 years old. From age 12 through age 15, before turning pro, Wie played in 24 LPGA tournaments.

How did Michelle Wie get her LPGA Tour membership? Did she play Q-School (the normal route) or was she granted or did she earn some special status?

Who is Michelle Wie dating? Nobody, anymore: On August 10, 2019, Wie and boyfriend-turned-fiancé-turned husband got married. Wie's husband comes from basketball royalty. Her most well-known past boyfriend was also a basketball player. And her college boyfriend? A 7-footer who played in the NBA. Hey, when you're tall like Wiezy, you have a preference for tall beaus, boos and baes.
