PGA Championship Golf Courses: Where They've Played

Medinah Country Club is one of the PGA Championship golf courses

The PGA Championship is one of the four "major championships" of men's professional golf. It is run by the PGA of America, and the PGA selects each golf course that serves as the site of the tournament.

The PGA Championship rotates around the United States, and its golf courses are a more eclectic group than those for the U.S. Open or British Open. The list of host sites below includes a lot of golf courses that haven't been part of major championship golf in a long time. On the other hand, the PGA sometimes revisits such a course, bringing it back into "major" prominence. And the PGA sometimes selects a golf course that is brand new to major championship golf.

The PGA of America doesn't have a set rotation of golf courses, as the British Open does (and the U.S. Open increasingly does), although in recent years their are golf courses that are starting to become known for their association with the PGA.

Which golf course has been the site of the most PGA Championships? That is Southern Hills in Oklahoma.
