2024 PGA Championship Dates, Golf Course

The 2024 PGA Championship will be the 106th time this tournament is played. The PGA Championship, first played in 1916, is one of the four yearly "major championships" of men's professional golf. It is run by the PGA of America and also counted as a PGA Tour event.

2024 PGA Championship dates: May 15-19, 2024
Golf course: Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky
Defending champion: Brooks Koepka won the 2023 PGA Championship by two strokes over Scottie Scheffler and Viktor Hovland. It was his third career win in the PGA Championship, and fifth overall victory in a major.
Field: See How Golfers Qualify for the PGA Championship for details on how the field is filled.

The groupings and tee times for golfers playing in the PGA Championship are made by the PGA of America. They are typically announced on the Friday prior to tournament week. For ticket information, check PGAChampionship.com — ticket info generally becomes available around the time of the preceding PGA Championship (one year early, in other words).

Previous PGAs at Valhalla

The 2024 PGA Championship will be the fourth one played at the Jack Nicklaus-designed Valhalla in Kentucky. The previous three, with their winners and scores: Valhalla has also been the site of the 2004 Senior PGA Championship (Hale Irwin, 276) and 2011 Senior PGA Championship (Tom Watson, 278), as well as the 2008 Ryder Cup.
