The 2025 PGA Championship was the 107th time this golf tournament was played. Scottie Scheffler separated from his pursuers over the back nine to claim a five-stroke victory.

Notable notes: When Jon Rahm birdied the 11th hole, he tied Scottie Scheffler for the lead at 9-under par. Scheffler had just bogeyed the ninth hole and was 2-over-par for his round. A huge momentum swing in Rahm's favor appeared to be happening.

But little more than an hour later, Scheffler was six strokes ahead and cruising to the 2025 PGA Championship victory. He wound up scoring even-par 71 for the round, finishing at 273. He won by five strokes over the trio of Harris English, Bryson DeChambeau and Davis Riley.

What happened from the point Rahm tied Scheffler? Scheffler birdied his next hole, the 10th, to go back in front of Rahm by one. Scheffler added birdies on Holes 14 and 15. Rahm let some birdie chances slip by, then hit into water and bogeyed No. 16. He closed with consecutive double bogeys on Nos. 17 and 18. Rahm scored 73 in the final round and dropped into a tie for eighth place.

It was Scheffler's first win in the PGA Championship, but his third overall victory in a major.
