Dominion Energy Charity Classic on Champions Tour

The Dominion Energy Charity Classic was a golf tournament on the Champions Tour, the PGA Tour-owned circuit for golfers ages 50-and-over. The tournament was played from the mid-2010s to the mid-2020s, and in most years was one of the Champions Tour's playoff tournaments.

First played: 2016

Last played: 2025

The tournament, which was called "Dominion Charity Classic" (minus the "Energy") in its first two years, was 54 holes (three rounds) in duration. In all but one year (2020), it was one of the tour's three playoff tournaments. It was comprised of the top 72 golfers in the regular-season points standings, and had no cut.

Winners of the Dominion Energy Charity Classic

2016 — Scott McCarron, 203 (def. Tom Byrum in playoff)
2017 — Bernhard Langer, 200
2018 — Woody Austin, 205
2019 — Miguel Angel Jimenez, 198
2020 — Phil Mickelson, 199
2021 — Bernhard Langer, 202 (def. Doug Barron in playoff)
2022 — Steven Alker, 202
2023 — Harrison Frazar, 205 (def. Richard Green in playoff)
2024 — Timothy O'Neal, 203
2025 — Justin Leonard, 204

The Dominion Energy Charity Classic's only multiple winner was Bernhard Langer, whose 2017 victory was his 35th on the Champions Tour, and whose 2021 win was his 42nd on the senior circuit.

The scoring record of 198 was set by Miguel Angel Jimenez in 2019. The next year, Phil Mickelson became the second golfer to finish under 200 strokes (and nobody else did it afterward), winning at 199.

The tournament's record for largest winning margin is only three strokes. That is the margin by which Mickelson won over Mike Weir in 2020.

The tournament's run ended in 2025, with Justin Leonard scoring an eagle on the final hole to win. The event ended when no replacement for title sponsor Dominion Energy was found.

Golf course: The Dominion Charity Classic was always played at the Country Club of Virginia in Henrico, Virginia.
