2021 Ryder Cup Winner, Match Scores, Player Records

The 2021 Ryder Cup was the 43rd time the tournament was played, with teams of professional male golfers from Europe and the United States facing off. Following the American victory, the all-time standings were 27 wins for Team USA, 14 for Team Europe, with two draws.

Final Score: United States 19, Europe 9

Match Notes: Team USA dominated the 2021 Ryder Cup throughout, and in the end the Americans had the biggest win — and Europe suffered the biggest loss — since the Great Britain & Ireland side was expanded to Team Europe beginning in 1979. The final score, 19-9, was a 10-point margin of victory. The previous biggest Ryder Cup blowouts of the Team Europe era were three 9-point wins (one for the United States, two for Europe).

The Americans won the first three sessions by 3-1 scores each. Their 6-2 lead after the first day was the USA's largest after Day 1 since 1975. After the third session, Europe had recorded only three points and just two match victories.

Team USA's 11-5 lead going into singles was also its largest since 1975, and then the Americans dominated the final singles session, too.

Dustin Johnson led the Americans with a perfect 5-0-0 record. He was the first American to go 5-for-5 since Larry Nelson in the 1979 Ryder Cup. Four other Team USA golfers were unbeaten. For Team Europe, meanwhile, five of their 12 golfers were winless.

The lone bright spot for Team Europe: Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia won three matches as partners. Garcia went 3-1-0, improving his career Ryder Cup record to 25-13-7. He surpassed Nick Faldo to set a new record for most career Ryder Cup matches won.
