Mobile Bay LPGA Classic Golf Tournament

The Mobile Bay LPGA Classic (known by multiple names, including Airbus LPGA Classic in its last year) was an LPGA Tour golf tournament in Mobile, Alabama. It was played six times in the early years of the 2000s.

First played: 2008

Last played: 2014

Se Ri Pak's win in 2010 was the 25th and last of her LPGA career. Jessica Korda's win in 2014 was her first in the United States (after earlier LPGA wins in Australia and the Bahamas).

Pak's victory required a playoff, which she won on the third hole of sudden death over Brittany Lincicome and Suzann Pettersen. All six times the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic was played, the outcome was close: Once the margin of victory was two strokes, four times it was only one stroke.

The tournament scoring records of 21-under par and 267 were set by Jennifer Johnson in her 2013 victory. That was the only tournament Johnson won in her LPGA career. The 18-hole scoring record of 61 was set by Anna Nordqvist in the third round in 2013.

Also known as: The tournament was played only six times, but under four different names. It began as the Bell Micro LPGA Classic (2008-10), then, for one year, was the Avnet LPGA Classic. In 2012-13, it was the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic, and, in its final year, the Airbus LPGA Classic.
