Yearly Order of Merit Winners on the European Senior Tour (Legends Tour)

The European Senior Tour — now known as the Legends Tour after a couple years named the Staysure Tour — was founded in 1992 as the top-level tour in Europe for 50-and-over male golfers. Not surprisingly, the list of yearly Order of Merit winners below includes many prominent names in European golf, golfers who played primarily on the European Tour before moving on to the senior circuit.

Before we get to the list, a few notes to point out. First, from 1992 through 2018 the Order of Merit winner on the European Senior Tour was the tour's leading money winner. From 2019 forward, the Order of Merit is won by the golfer's leading points-earner, based on a point system instituted in 2019.

The highest amount of money to lead the Order of Merit? That's the €679,147 won by Colin Montgomerie in 2015.

The golfer with the most Order of Merit wins is Tommy Horton, who won five out of seven seasons from 1993 to 1999. That included four consecutive years (1996-99), also the best. Sam Torrance, Carl Mason and Montgomerie are the only other golfers so far to lead in consecutive seasons.
