2025 U.S. Women's Open Dates, Golf Course

The 2025 U.S. Women's Open will be the 80th time this tournament is played. Run by the United States Golf Association (USGA), the USWO dates to 1946. It is the oldest pro tournament in women's golf and the most-prestigious of the five LPGA major championships.

2025 U.S. Women's Open dates: May 29-June 1
Golf course: Erin Hills in Erin Hills, Wisconsin
Tickets: Visit the Tickets section of USGA.org for info. Tickets typically become available shortly after the completion of the previous USWO.

The field will include 156 golfers. Qualifying tournaments, 36 holes each, take place at around 25-30 sites (most, but not all, in the United States). About two-thirds of the field will get in via various exemption categories (such as winners of previous majors, world rankings, LPGA money and so on).

2025 U.S. Women's Open Golf Course: Erin Hills

Erin Hills, in Wisconsin near Milwaukee, is the site of the 2025 U.S. Women's Open, which will be the first USWO played there. But it won't be the first USGA championship played at Erin Hills.

This public golf course opened in 2006, and just two years later it was already playing host to the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship. Since then, it has been the site for several more USGA championships, including a U.S. Open:

2008 U.S. WAPL: Tiffany Joh
2011 U.S. Amateur: Kelly Kraft
2017 U.S. Open: Brooks Koepka
2022 U.S. Mid-Amateur: Matthew McClean
