Masters 2020 Dates, Tee Time Info and More

UPDATE: The 2020 Masters has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Augusta National is reportedly hoping the tournament can still be played in the Fall, perhaps September or October.

The Masters Tournament in 2020 arrives with April, as it does every year. One of the four major championships of men's professional golf — and the biggest of the four, in terms of attention garnered — The Masters takes place at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.

Tournament dates: April 9-April 12, 2020

Tee times/pairings: Tee times and player groupings will be announced several days before the tournament's first round. See Masters Tee Times for more info.

Note: The gates to Augusta National Golf Club open at 8 a.m. (ET) daily during tournament week (Monday through Sunday).
  • Sunday-Monday, April 5-6: Players arrive, practice rounds
  • Tuesday, April 7: Practice rounds, Champions Dinner
  • Wednesday, April 8: Practice rounds, Par-3 Contest
  • Thursday, April 9: Round 1
  • Friday, April 10: Round 2
  • Saturday, April 11: Round 3
  • Sunday, April 12: Round 4, playoff if necessary, Green Jacket Ceremony

Defending Champion

Tiger Woods won the 2019 Masters Tournament, his fifth victory at Augusta National. That moved him within one win of tying Jack Nicklaus' tournament record of six. Woods finished one stroke ahead of runners-up Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele and Brooks Koepka.
