The 2024 British Open will be the 152nd time this golf tournament is played, its history dating all the way back to 1860. The Open Championship, as it is officially named, is one of the four major championships of men's professional golf.

The British Open is the fourth of the four men's majors played each year, following The Masters, PGA Championship and U.S. Open.
