2008 Women's World Golf Rankings: No. 1, Top 50 at End of Year

Lorena Ochoa was ranked No. 1 in the Rolex Rankings at the end of 2008. Ochoa won seven tournaments on the LPGA Tour during the year, including one major, the 2008 Kraft Nabisco Championships. Her other LPGA wins were: HSBC Women's Champions, Safeway International, Corona Championship, Ginn Open, Sybase Classic and Navistar LPGA Classic. She finished in the Top 10 in 17 of 22 tournaments played. Ochoa led the tour in scoring and money, and won the tour's Player of the Year Award.
