Presidents Cup Golf Courses: Where They've Played

Presidents Cup golf course at Harding Park in San Francisco

The Presidents Cup is played every other year as one of the marquee events in the world of men's professional golf. But where has it been played? Below we take a look at the golf courses where the Presidents Cup has taken place.

The Presidents Cup, inspired by the Ryder Cup, is a team tournament pitting a Team International against a Team USA in match play. (The International team is comprised of golfers who are not eligible to play in the Ryder Cup, which has a Team Europe vs. Team USA format.) For locations, the Presidents Cup travels every other year, alternating between golf courses in the United States and those outside of the United States.

And this tournament has visited the same golf courses on multiple occasions. Founded in 1994, the Presidents Cup was played at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia, each of the first four times it took place inside the USA. Through 2022, it was played in Australia three times, and all three times was played at Royal Melbourne Golf Club.
