18-Hole Scoring Record on Korn Ferry Tour
The Korn Ferry Tour is the PGA Tour's official developmental tour, the second-level tour just one step below the PGA Tour. Many of the golfers who play the Korn Ferry Tour eventually move up to the PGA Tour and enjoy good careers.
The Record: 57 by Cristobal Del Solar
On February 8, 2024, Cristobal Del Solar became not just the Korn Ferry 18-hole record-holder with a score of 57, but also the first golfer to score 57 in any PGA Tour-sanctioned tour round. (That includes the PGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, PGA Tour Canada, PGA Tour Latinoamerica, and the Champions Tour.)Del Solar scored his 57 in the first round of the 2024 Astara Golf Championship, played at Country Club de Bogota-Pacos in Bogota, Colombia. Something to keep in mind, however, is that Del Solar's 57 happened on a golf course that measured only 6,254 yards — very short by modern tour standards. And it was a course at 9,000 feet of altitude, making it play even shorter than its already very short measured yardage.
Still, a 57 is an amazing score, and nobody else in the field that day scored lower than 61. Del Solar had a 27 on the front nine and a 30 on the back nine. He didn't even have to birdie any of the final three holes to record his record round.
He had six birdies and an eagle on the front nine (par-35) and was 8-under par at that point. On the back nine (par-35), Del Solar added another three birdies plus another eagle. All told, that's nine birdies plus two eagles, 13-under par 57 on the par-70 course.
