Most Wins in U.S. Senior Open
The U.S. Senior Open, run by the United States Golf Association (USGA), is the biggest tournament in men's professional 50-and-over golf. It is one of the five major championships in men's senior golf. This major was first played in 1980.
And since that first U.S. Senior Open in 1980, only Barber has won it at least three times.
The List: U.S. Senior Open Multiple Winners
- 3 wins — Miller Barber (1982, 1984, 1985)
- 2 wins — Gary Player (1987, 1988)
- 2 wins — Jack Nicklaus (1991, 1993)
- 2 wins — Hale Irwin (1998, 2000)
- 2 wins — Allen Doyle (2005, 2006)
- 2 wins — Kenny Perry (2013, 2017)
- 2 wins — Bernhard Langer (2010, 2023)
- 2 wins — Padraig Harrington (2022, 2025)
Note that Barber's second and third victories were in back-to-back years. Only Gary Player and Allen Doyle, listed among the 2-time champs above, have since won the U.S. Senior Open in consecutive years.
Also of interest: The 13-year gap between Bernhard Langer's two U.S. Senior Open victories. That is by far the longest gap between wins in this major (no other golfer has gone more than four years between two wins).
