Winners of the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship

The U.S. Girls' Junior Championship is the top golf tournament for amateur, junior girls golfers. Its roster of champions below includes many big names who went on to Hall-of-Fame LPGA Tour careers after winning this title.

The tournament was founded by the United States Golf Association (USGA) in 1949, one year after that organization started the boys' equivalent, the U.S. Junior Amateur. The first champion was Marlene Bauer Hagge, one of those future Hall-of-Famers.

The U.S. Girls' Junior has always been a match-play tournament. From its inception in 1949 through the 2005 championship, all matches were scheduled for 18 holes. Beginning with the 2006 tournament, the championship match has been 36 holes.

The tournament's only three-time champion is Hollis Stacy (1969, 1970, 1971), whose victories were in consecutive years. Judy Eller (1957-58) and Eun Jeong Seong (2015-16) also won back-to-back titles. The only other multiple winner so far is Nancy Lopez (1972, 1974).
