No. 1 at the end of 2023 was Scottie Scheffler. Scheffler had two PGA Tour wins during the year, the Phoenix Open and The Players Championship. He tied for second in the 2023 PGA Championship and was solo third in the 2023 U.S. Open. Scheffler posted a tour-leading 17 Top 10 finishes, and led the PGA Tour in scoring average and earnings.

Comparing the above end-of-2023 rankings with the end-of-2023 rankings, the biggest jump from outside the Top 50 into the Top 50 from 2022 to 2023 was by Ludvig Aberg.
