Most Fourball Matches Won in Ryder Cup
The record-holder is Ian Woosnam, and with 10 fourball victories over his Ryder Cup career, Woosnam is the only golfer so far to reach double-digit match victories in this format. (Fourball was added to the Ryder Cup beginning in 1963.)
Fourball is the format also known as better ball. Two golfers play as a team, with the lower of their two scores counting as the team's score. In a 2-vs.-2 fourball match, there are four balls in play, hence the name.
