Solheim Cup Captains Picks (By Year, With Player Records)

Below is the list of every golfer who has received a captain's pick to play in the Solheim Cup. Which golfers have done the best (and worst) with their opportunities?

The number of captain's picks per team and per year has varied throughout the history of the tournament. The European team, for example, has used as many as five captain's picks in a given year.

The golfers who were Solheim Cup captain's picks most often? Catrin Nilsmark holds the record with five selections to Team Europe. Carin Koch, Liselotte Neumann and Catriona Matthew, also for Europe, all were picked four times. Koch was particularly successful playing as a wildcard: She once went unbeaten in two consecutive Solheim Cups.

Charley Hull was only 17 years old when she was a captain's pick in 2013. That same year, another European wildcard selection, Caroline Hedwall, became the first player in Solheim Cup history to go 5-0-0 in a single tournament.

On to the list. All the Solheim Cup captain's picks are listed here, by year, along the names of the captains who picked them. The golfers' records in each Solheim Cup are also included (as wins-losses-ties).
