Golfers With Most Fourball Wins in Presidents Cup

Fourball is one of the match-play formats used during the Presidents Cup, the every-other-year competition between two teams — Team USA and Team International — of male pro golfers. And in the history of the Presidents Cup, no golfer was on the winning side of more fourball matches than Phil Mickelson.

Mickelson won 10 fourball matches over his long Presidents Cup career. He was on Team USA in the inaugural competition, the 1994 Presidents Cup, and played in every one through the 2017 Presidents Cup.

In 21 total fourballs, Mickelson compiled an overall record of 10-5-6 (wins-losses-ties), a winning percentage of nearly 62-percent. Of course, as one member of a two-man team, Mickelson didn't win those matches alone. His fourball partners in those 10 wins were Tom Lehman (twice), Corey Pavin, Davis Love III, Chris DiMarco, Justin Leonard, Jim Furyk, Keegan Bradley, Zach Johnson and Kevin Kisner.

The golfer who makes the list in the fewest appearances is Goosen, who needed only 11 fourball matches to record his eight wins. Goosen's winning percentage of 77-percent is the best among those golfers listed.

One golfer makes the list despite having a losing record in the format — Woods, who went 8-9-0. It should be noted, though, that Woods holds the Presidents Cup records for most overall match wins and most singles wins, and shares the record for most foursomes wins.
