It doesn't matter how you win the PGA Championship, just that you win it. And the golfers on the two lists below all won this major, but they did take slightly different routes to their victories. Some went low in the final round of their wins, others scored higher but held on. These are the champions who closed with the best 18-hole scores in the final round:- 64 — Steve Elkington, 1995 PGA Championship, 7-under at Riviera Country Club. Six strokes behind entering final round, won in playoff.
- 64 — Collin Morikawa, 2020 PGA Championship, 6-under at TPC Harding Park. Trailed by two entering final round, won by two.
- 65 — David Graham, 1979 PGA Championship, 5-under at Oakland Hills Country Club. Trailed by four entering final round, won in playoff.
- 65 — Jeff Sluman, 1988 PGA Championship, 6-under at Oak Tree Golf Club. Three strokes behind entering final round, won by three.
Bonus tournament record: What is the lowest final-round score by anyone in a PGA Championship? For decades, 63 was the PGA Championship 18-hole scoring record (although it is even lower today). And many golfers have scored 63s in the PGA. But so far, only one golfer has shot 63 in the final round: Brad Faxon in 1995.

- 74 — Raymond Floyd, 1969 PGA Championship, 3-over at National Cash Register Country Club. Led by five going into the fourth round, won by one.
