Big Break III: Ladies Only (Winner, Cast Members)

Big Break III: Ladies Only was the name of a television series that aired on the Golf Channel in 2005 after being taped in 2004. As the name makes clear, only women golfers played in this installment of the network's Big Break franchise, after the first two years of the series had men-only casts.

Big Break III was taped at Kingsmill Resort, a longtime LPGA Tour venue in Williamsburg, Virginia. The first episode aired on Feb. 8, 2005, and ran for 10 episodes.

The co-hosts of this season were Vince Cellini and Stephanie Sparks.

Winner of 'Big Break III: Ladies Only'

The series winner was Danielle Amiee. She was crowned the Big Break III champion following an 18-hole, championship match victory over series runner-up Pamela Crikelair.

Crikelair took a 2-up lead after three holes, and it remained that way through five holes. Amiee got one back on the sixth, and another on the No. 8 hole to bring the match all square.

The match remained all square through 12, then Amiee won the 14th to go 1-up. Amiee maintained that lead through 16. On the par-3 17th, Amiee made a birdie putt to win the match, 2-and-1.

What Amiee won: As the Big Break III: Ladies Only champion, Amiee won exemptions into two LPGA Tour events in the 2005 season, the LPGA Michelob Ultra Open at Kingsmill and the LPGA Corning Classic. She also received a gift certificate for $5,000 worth of equipment from Golf Galaxy, along with the keys to a new car.

How Amiee did in her LPGA appearances: At the 2005 LPGA Michelob Ultra Open, Amiee shot 79-77 and missed the cut. At the 2005 LPGA Corning Classic, Amiee withdrew before the start of play, citing a bad back.
