Winners of the Titleholders Championship, Former LPGA Major

The Titleholders Championship originated long before the LPGA Tour existed, but is retroactively considered a major championship by the LPGA. That means all the winners listed below are credited as winning LPGA majors.

First played: 1937

Last played: 1972

The list of champions includes early giants of women's golf such as Patty Berg, Louise Suggs and Babe Zaharias, each of whom first won the tournament as an amateur, then again later as a pro. Berg won the tournament seven times, which is the record for most wins in an LPGA major by the same golfer.

Fay Crocker won the 1960 edition when she was 45½ years old. That is still the LPGA record for oldest winner of a major. ... There have been two other tournaments in LPGA that included "Titleholders" in their names, but only The Titleholders Championship was a major.

Also known as: Always played under the name Titleholders Championship.
